Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the discipline that optimizes an organization's digital presence to be identified, understood and cited by answer engines based on generative artificial intelligence: ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
Unlike traditional SEO, which competes to appear in rankings of blue links, AEO competes to appear within conversational responses: the brand stops being a destination and becomes a source.
