Development of a new web portal in Drupal
At Seed EM, we are pleased to have developed the new web portal for the Politécnico Grancolombiano, a project designed to improve the digital experience for students, teachers and administrative staff. This website not only modernizes the presentation of academic programs and institutional services, but also optimizes navigation, accessibility and operational efficiency of the university. Why was Drupal 10 chosen for this project?
For the development of the new web portal of the Politécnico Grancolombiano, Drupal 10 was chosen as the technological platform due to its flexibility, security, scalability and compatibility with the latest technologies. The transition from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10 allowed to take advantage of the previous knowledge of the platform, ensuring a smooth migration and a continuous improvement in the user experience. Drupal 10 provides the necessary foundation to evolve the website, optimizing interaction with the university's digital services.
Project description
The new web portal offers a modern and intuitive experience, allowing access to academic programs in different modalities, both virtual and on-site. In addition, it features:
- Integration with SmartCampus, making queries and service requests easier.
- Connection with the virtual campus for access to educational resources and academic activities.
- Optimized structure for the study plans, improving navigation through the curriculum.
- Implementation of SSO (Single Sign-On), simplifying authentication and improving security.
- System for uploading academic calendars and other key functionalities for university management.
- Base of the university's digital ecosystem, with projects under development such as the virtual store.
Objectives
The main objective of the project is to modernize and improve the digital experience of the university community through a functional, accessible and intuitive portal that facilitates interaction with the institution's services and resources. Through the redesign and development of the website, we seek to offer optimized navigation, clear information, and functionalities that facilitate access to academic programs, events, news and other institutional services.
