The District Treasury Department is a government entity that is part of the Mayor's Office of Bogotá. Its main functions include managing Bogotá's budget. It is overseen by various control agencies.

Background
The SDH website aimed to improve usability, accessibility, compliance with transparency laws, information architecture, SEO, document classification, and other content, as well as reduce the dependency of site administrators on editors for generating certain types of content.
Why the client decided to do it
With the need to improve the organization of the information presented to its visitors, the entity decided to undertake the project to provide a better user experience for the many citizens who consult it daily, facilitate access to information subject to oversight and control, ease the creation of new content by the staff members who are part of its editorial team, and enhance its web presence.
Project Description
Development of the new website for the District Treasury Department, complying with the Government Online guidelines, Bogotá Mayor’s Office, transparency laws, AA-level accessibility criteria, implementing a decoupled development with the backend in Drupal 9 and the frontend in Angular. Integrated with its Active Directory.
How did we assist the client throughout the process?
Training sessions were conducted in Drupal, Angular, and Design to enhance the team's capabilities. Throughout the process, the entity's staff were supported and recommendations were made for a smoother adaptation to the changes. Recommendations were provided to maintain usability and accessibility. Training sessions were held with each department of the entity to explain how the new content editing would be done. Meetings were conducted with each department to assess whether the migrated content met their needs and expectations. Technical support and recommendations were also provided for better site performance.
Outcome
A new information architecture was created, allowing for better organization of information, improved navigation, and understanding by the end user. The design implementation met 100% of the government requirements, as evidenced by the evaluation results from the National Digital Agency. In the items related to architecture, usability, and accessibility, a rating above 85% was achieved.
The implementation of specific search engines for regulations, procedures, tax calendar, and events allows for better interaction from the website visitors.
