The "CMS Award" sponsored by Packt Publishing, which seeks to recognize the best open source content managers and is voted for by the community itself, has reached its fourth edition this year and Drupal has also been part of the voting.
Content managers can be nominated for the different categories available: - Best Overall Open Source CMS - Most Promising Open Source CMS - Best PHP Open Source CMS - Best Other Open Source CMS - Open Source MVPs Both Drupal and Joomla are finalists in The "Hall of Fame" Category, this category has been created exclusively for CMS that in previous editions have won in the "Overall Open Source CMS" category.
In the category "Most Promising Open Source CMS" the following are finalists: •ImpressCMS •Manhali •Pixie •Pligg •Redaxscript In the category "Best Open Source PHP CMS" Once again Drupal repeats as a finalist along with Joomla, remember that Drupal has already won this award for two consecutive years (2007 and 2008), the finalists are: •Drupal •Joomla! •MODx •TYPOlight •WordPress Finally in the "Best Other Open Source CMS" category there are finalists. •DotNetNuke •dotCMS •mojoPortal •Plone •WebGUI
