According to the Drupal Association website ( https://association.drupal.org ), after a long month of quality assurance, October 31st is now set as the possible release date for the update that the community has been working on for months. There are currently 12 pending tasks to be solved before the release and if they are resolved by October 28th the planned date will be maintained, otherwise it will be moved a few weeks as they seek to not interfere with Drupal events planned for the date.

During the update period it is important to note that the site will be down for 24 hours and will be replaced by a static page with a download link to the latest version of Drupal, sub-sites such as groups.drupal.org will continue. being online but without login access. The start of the update will be around 15:00 UTC on October 31 and is expected to end around 15:00 on November 1.
