The Drupal.org security team has announced that they are coordinating a security release for Drupal 8 this week, specifically for August 1st, 2018. This security update is being announced early as August 1st is not a regular release date for security updates to the Drupal core.
The launch will be made between noon and 3PM EDT ( Eastern Time in North America ), it is classified as moderately critical and will only have the update to a third-party library.
August 1st will also be used as a security release window for contributed projects.
We recommend that you prepare everything necessary to apply this security update to all your Drupal projects, since this is a third-party library, the vulnerability will be widely known and attack sources may be created. Remember that if your site is on our SeeDCloud Service , you will have the support of our team, or if you are on a business plan, our team will apply it directly.
If you want to have professional support for this update of your website, we can offer you a few hours of support for this purpose, contact us to learn more about your case .
