Who can vote?

If you have a drupal.org account you can vote on:

- You created your account at least on the date nominations opened (June 1 to June 11, 2018).

- You already have an account and have logged in at least once in the last year.

How is the winning candidate chosen?

The results are calculated using the "Instant Runoff" method, which in Spanish is known as Instant Second Round, this method is used when there are several candidates for a single position. Instead of voting for a single candidate, voters rank the candidates by preference, these preferences will be used later to elect the candidate who exceeds 50% preference, if the votes in the top do not reach that 50%, the lowest preferred from the total of the top are eliminated giving the vote to the next in preference, so when the options are reduced, a candidate with 50% preference can be obtained, for something more illustrated you can see  this video  (in English)
